Who is Laura Tirello? We are
all constantly evolving and changing. Here’s my story:
I am Laura Tirello of Core
Life Design. I was an educator for 11 years. Though I am a natural teacher,
I realized early on that although my analytical left brain could perform
all tasks required in the teaching profession, my creative right brain
was going crazy with all the regimentation involved in working in a
school.
Like most people I just held
my breath and dealt with the frustration. I stuck it out because my
left brain had created a good system to get the job done and rationalized
that it was a good fit in terms of security.
But my right brain and essential
self were going nuts! I knew exactly what my strengths and weaknesses
were and knew intuitively that this job was not the right fit for my
particular working style.
Denying my true self and settling
for less than I wanted (and was capable of) created many difficulties
in my life; but eventually led me to a journey of self discovery. I
learned that many of my thoughts and limiting beliefs about my abilities
and circumstances were creating my reality. Buddha said it best ‘What
you think, you become”.
I am a teacher and helper by
nature, so I wasn’t that far off in my original career choice. Those
qualities make me a fantastic coach. Along with being a coach, I am
also a writer and entrepreneur. Through my discoveries I have learned
to blend different parts of myself successfully and can help you do
the same.
I am a certified Martha Beck
Life Coach. Martha Beck is a columnist for O!, the Oprah Magazine,
and author of Finding Your Own North Star. She is a renowned Life Coach
with decades of experience who also has a PhD in Sociology from Harvard
University. I incorporate my B.A. and M.A. in Education with my coach
training and years of independent study to help my clients figure out
how their minds work best. I am also a member of the ICF, International
Coach Federation, and follow its code of ethics.
I will give you tools and guidance
that will help you develop optimal performance by using both parts of
your brain. This will help you refine your strengths and work around
your weaknesses. It will also help you meet goals using your individual
learning and working style. You will also tap into the creativity you
always knew was there.
